Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

•Developing HVAC designs from proposal through design, fabrication and test.

•Design and fabrication oversight of multiple concurrent developmental efforts.

•Support design, manufacturing, test and troubleshooting through solid working knowledge of HVAC systems.

•Contribute to R&D efforts through broad understanding of current state of the art HVAC advances and an eye to emerging technologies such as advances in thermal management science and power generation.

•Responsibility for specification of components, sheet metal layout, and fabrication approaches.

•Provide daily oversight of shop personnel for the concurrent design and fabrication of new HVAC systems.

Experience Required:

•Candidates should have a technical degree and a minimum of 5 years experience designing and engineering air conditioners and/or refrigeration systems.

•Capabilities must include:
oA ‘hands-on’ person with good interpersonal skills.
odevelopment of HVAC system functional design concepts,
osizing all cooling and heating loads from written specifications,
odeveloping refrigeration, electrical, and control schematics,
osizing components (fans, coils, motors, etc.), component/cabinet layout,
otrouble shooting service calls,
oproviding manufacturing and test support.

•Proficient with SolidWorks (preferred), CATIA, AutoCad or similar engineering design software.

•Good presentation and technical writing skills are required.

•Familiarity of welding procedures would be extremely helpful.

•Experience with military grade air conditioner equipment is highly desirable.

•Experience working in an ISO 9001:2000 with design environment


Starting Salary Range: $85K – $100K, based on experience and knowledge.
